India is one of the largest motorcycle markets in the world. There are a number of explanations for this. Motorcycles are one of the easiest ways to handle heavy traffic or congested lanes due to their compact dimensions. Then there's the fact that they're fun to ride (most of the time) and reasonably priced, which is why they're selling better in India.

the motorcycle industry is loaded with bikes of all shapes and sizes, including entry-level models. The cruiser segment is one of the most common motorcycle categories in the world. These bikes are commonly chosen for their ability to cover long distances while remaining fatigue-free.

In India, the cruiser motorcycle segment has a diverse range of bikes, including some high-end models from Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles. The bikes in the budget-friendly category, on the other hand, are mostly in control of sales. So, if you're looking for a cruiser motorcycle but don't have a lot of money, these are the top five cheapest choices to consider.

Bajaj Avenger:
The Bajaj Avenger Street160 is the cheapest cruiser available in India. The bike has a low-slung stance like a cruiser and a round headlamp with DRLs like a roadster. It is powered by a 160.3 cc oil-cooled engine that produces 15 horsepower and 13.5 torque. On the feature front, the bike employs an analogue device that might seem outdated.

The Avenger Street 160's braking system consists of a front disc brake with single-channel ABS and a rear drum brake. There's also the Avenger Cruise 220, which has a 220 cc engine that produces 19 bhp and 17.5 Nm. The Street 160 has an out-of-date analogue instrument panel, while the Street 220 has a fully digital instrument panel.

Bajaj Avenger Street 160 price: ₹1.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 price: ₹1.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Royal Enfield Bullet 350:
RE Bullet is the company's entry-level classic motorcycle, with three models to choose from. It is powered by a 346cc engine with a maximum power of 19 bhp and torque of 28 Nm. The motorcycle comes standard with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, and telescopic forks with dual rear shocks do the suspension duties.

Because of its classic heritage, the Bullet remains one of the most famous RE bikes in the world. And, of course, its ability to easily navigate rough roads makes it even more common in rural areas of the country.

Royal Enfield Bullet price: ₹1.3 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Jawa Classic and Forty Two:
Jawa Classic is a retro-styled motorcycle with a lot of chrome on the frame. The Forty Two, on the other hand, were given a makeover some time ago. Three new color choices, an improved seat, a grey stripe on the fuel tank, 13-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and bar-end mounted mirrors are all part of the Forty Two's new look. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 293cc engine.

This engine is available with a six-speed manual transmission. The instrument console on the Jawa Classic bike has an analogue counter, while the Forty Two has a small digital monitor for readouts like the odometer and trip meter. The suspension on the motorcycles consists of telescopic forks in the front and gas-canister twin hydraulic shocks in the back.

Jawa Classic price in India: ₹1.77 lakh to ₹1.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Jawa Forty Two price in India: ₹1.68 lakh to ₹1.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Royal Enfield Meteor 350:
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a completely new cruiser bike with a brand-new frame. It is powered by a 349cc air-cooled engine that produces 20 horsepower and 27 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a five-speed manual transmission. The Meteor 350 has a semi-digital cluster with an analogue speedometer and a digital display for the odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, and a gear position indicator.

Telescopic forks with twin-tube emulsion shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload are part of the RE Meteor 350's suspension system. The Meteor 350 comes standard with 300 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes, as well as dual-channel ABS.
