According To Latest Rumors Yamaha Is Launching XSR 155 On This festival Season

About XSR155

Yamaha has taken the wraps off a MT-15 based retro-styled motorcycle called the XSR155 in Thailand. However, the manufacturer is expected to launch the bike in India sometime in 2020 festival season .

The XSR155 follows Yamaha’s 'Sport Heritage' design similar to the XSR 700 and XSR 900 that are available in international markets. It gets a tear-drop shaped tank, a round full-LED headlamp and full-LED tail lamp along a single-piece seat that adds to its old-school charm.

Furthermore, the XSR155 sports headlamp brackets, a redesigned sump guard and a redesigned exhaust plate that has a pore-like design inspired from retro motorcycles. The bike uses the same Deltabox frame and 155cc engine that does duty on the R15-V3 and the MT-15. This unit produces 18.6 Bhp and 14.1 Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.

It rides on upside-down forks at the front along with a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is done by disc brakes at both ends. However, the Indian-spec model will sport telescopic forks upfront and also get a single-channel ABS to assist in braking.

Yamaha has equipped the XSR155 with a single-pod instrument cluster that displays all vital information and gets a distinctive, semi-circle tachometer. The XSR155 is offered in four paint schemes- Premium Grey, White/Red Sports Heritage, Black Elegance and Green Wanderlust. When launched in India, it will be priced around Rs 1.40 lakhs and compete with motorcycles like the KTM 125 Duke in terms of price.
