Manu Bhaker becomes first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics since Independence.

On Tuesday, shooting star Manu Bhaker made history again by becoming the first Indian to win two medals in a single Olympics since Independence. Already celebrated for being the first female shooter to secure a medal with her bronze in the 10m air pistol individual event, Manu added another bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event alongside Sarabjot Singh. 

The duo clinched victory over the Korean team with a score of 16-10 in the bronze-medal match in Paris, earning India its second medal of the current Summer Games. Manu still has a chance to make it three medals in Paris, with the 25m Pistol event yet to come, where she will compete with Esha Singh.

This remarkable achievement marks a significant chapter in Indian sports history, with Manu setting multiple records. She is now the second Indian woman, after badminton icon PV Sindhu, to win two Olympic medals.
