The three vaccines approved by the Health Ministry are Covishield from the Serum Institute of India (SII), Covaxin from Bharat Biotech, and Sputnik V from Russia.
Efficacy of Vaccines:
Sputnik V: Sputnik V is a Russian vaccine recently approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). It has a 91.6 percent efficacy rate. It has a good response rate in terms of reducing the virus's intensity.
Covaxin: In comparison, Bharat Biotech's Covaxin has an efficacy rate of approximately 78 to 81 percent.
Covishield: The Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute of India, on the other hand, has a 70.4 percent efficacy rate. If two doses of the vaccine are given weeks apart, its efficiency could reach 90%.
Prices of Vaccines:
Covishield: The vaccine price has been negotiated to Rs 150 for the central government, Rs 300 for state governments, and Rs 600 for private hospitals, according to the SII.
Covaxin: Covaxin is slightly more expensive. The vaccine is being sold at a reduced price of Rs 400 for state governments, down from Rs 600 previously, and at Rs 1,200 for private hospitals and facilities. The Covaxin dosages are being sold to the Central government for Rs 150 by Bharat Biotech.
Sputnik V: Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, has set a price of Rs 1,250 for the Sputnik V vaccine (including the administration charges). However, the vaccine is now being imported at a cost of Rs 948 for each dose, plus a 5% GST, bringing the total cost of the vaccine to Rs 995.40 for each dose.
As per my opinion as of now, Sputnik-V is the best option. But delaying the second dose of Covishield is also very effective so we can go with that also.

As now there are only two vaccines available in Indian market i.e. covishield and covaxin.
Covaxin is more effective 78 to 100 percent than covishield which is 70-90 percent effective.
So in my opinion covaxin is better.

I think if you talk about data then Sputnik-V is best as of now because its efficacy is more than 90% and the vaccine is now available in India. The only issue with this vaccine is the higher price and everyone can't afford this vaccine. But still, the way we are going to get other vaccines soon is going to help India to vaccinate more and more people.
